Palm Springs Day 2

Today we had it in mind to relax. Boy I needed it. Nah of course I didn't. But Sherry has been on the go for so long and we thought it would be nice to just kick back at the resort the whole day.

So we headed down to the lobby and had a buffet breakfast. Omelette were available and were cooked by a chef hwoever there was no Eggs Benedict, well there was\, but if you wanted it you had to order that seperately. They had fruits, bagels, toast, pancakes and pastries. I think next time I'll just order something off the menu though - I can never quite get it right with the buffet.

Birds were everywhere. They statted drinking the milk out of a can on one of the tables next to us.

After this we did head out, as I needed some togs and Sherry needed shoes for tomorrow's Hummer expedition. So we went to, of all things, a Westfield Shopping Centre! Payless shoes came thruogh with shoes for both of us and Seers delivered the goods in the swimmers department. We got back to the resort and were poolside by midday.

We stayed here for most of the afternoon, the pool was a bit on the cold side, but some pool side Bloody Marys helped warm us up, if the sun didn't.

Sunbathing sure is exhausting. After eating some Panda Express I was full as and fell asleep at around 8.00. Panda Express was sweet. Soup (hot+sour) + 3 main's (kung pow shrimp, chicken & mushroom, spicy beef + noodles) was delicious. I slept until around 11.30 and then couldn't sleep.

So I played some Stones and Bones Pinball Fantasies and beat the high score twice. First off i got 109,000,000 which was nice, but still was off my 125,000,000 unrecorded effort. However a little later in the morning (around 3.30am or so) I had another go and notched up an impressive 190,000,000. I still can smash that score.

I finally got to sleep around 5.30, but had to be up in a little under 2 hours for the Hummer tour.
