Gutterballs!

Well had a Big Lebowski day today pretty much slothing around the house until Sherry came to get me after her shopping to watch the movie down at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. I spent the day playing Tecmo Bowl - beating the Atlanta Falcons with a great come from behind win. 16-14. Then I watched Two and a Half Men - The bat rastard.

Also it was opening night of the NHL season. So watched a bit of Capitals and Bruins. I saw the first goal but then missed Ovie getting his 2 goals and 1 assist. I did watch the highlights the day after and he did the best hit on Mark Retchie. Capitals won 4-1.

Then I saw the game between the Leafs and the Canadiens. What a great game. Went into overtime with the Habs sneaking a goal with 13 seconds left in OT. Great start to the season.

Sherry was a bit late getting home, but we made it down to the Courthouse about 15 minutes after the start. Before the movie they had a siloent auction and a special guest appearance. May have been 'The dude' himself, Jeff Bridges, as he lives in Montecito. But yeah we got there about 20 minutes into the movie.

Everyone fully cheered when John Torturo made his appearance as 'Jesus'. They went off when he did his little dance after bowling that strike.

I've never really watched the movie before, or havent enjoyed it, but I did this time. It was so funny. It will be a great memento of Santa Barbara.
