NBA - Team by Team

DENVER NUGGETS
Currently 3rd in West. Looking at the record of the Nuggets since acquiring Chauncey Billups from the Pistons in exchange for Allen Iverson it most certainly appears that Denver won the trade. Whats this? Joe Dumars making a bad move? While questons marks still surround this team defensively, they are no longer the chaotic scoring bunch they were during the Iverson years. Billups has brought structure and control to the Nuggets, which is defenitely needed with the like of 'Melo and a freakishly talented J.R Smith. These two players' will learn much from Billups and should benefit the most - just as Rip Hamilton did in Mo Town. However a bigger story than Billups' acquisition is the play of Nene Hilario. Struggling with injuries for 2 seasons Nene is back and has stepped up to fill the hole left by Marcus Camby. Sure he needs some help, but he has undoubtedly been the Nuggets best player. What's missing - quickness and defense. I'd love to see them break out of the first round finally. Screw the Rockets. I'll be interested in them when they get rid of McGrady.
