I finally managed to get the Disneyland blogs published . Intenret service has been spasmodic so it- have s been put up a few days late. Probably the two biggest entries i've made and so big they really caused blogger crashing problems.
Asides from work on the blog what else is news?
- Am one team away from being half way through editing the tecmo bowl teams
- have chased Stella the chook up the stairs and found out that their wings aren't just for show
So we're up to Friday now here and in tribute to my Day 2 Disney breakfast i decfided to try my hand at making breakfast Tortillas
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- splash of milk
- sliced nushroom
- 4 bacon rashers
- 1/8 sliced green peppers
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1/2 chced tomato
- 4 tbl/spoon salsa sauce
- tortilla bread
Mehhod
Chop all ingredients to prepare. Then fry up the bacon. Then chuck the peppers and onion in the pan and cook for 2 minutes (not too long) - then mix in bowl with tomato and salsa sauce
Next cook mushrooms lightly and then add scrambled egg mixture. Cook to fluff.
Then heat your tortillas in nucrowave and walla!
Shows i've watched on tv this week -
- 1/2 an episode of star trek next generations,
- about 6 raymond episodes, recently the double one where they go to Italy. 'Sino Foginyolo''ba ba ba ba ba ba' 'Hahaha - When Marie told me we were going to Italy - at first i was trying to figure out what skirt to lay her out in, but now Im in friggin Italy'.
- that 70's show - mila kurtis gets drunk at the pub and lectures everyoen and her boob pops out. haha, not too bad for a show.
- little bit of King of Queens - he pretends he has a leg injury and is then caught playing Slamball. He then hits his head on the ring and she runs out. meanwhile the dad is selling pills.
- Grey's Anatomy
- Seinfeld - The episode where Kramer thinks he sees Joe DiMagio at Dunking Donuts. Hahah - he belts the table all the time belting out high pitched yelps to try and put himn off.
- plenty of B-grade news anchors fumbling over simple sentences
I spoke to Dangas this week which was cool and also Mum a couple of times. I told her that she better watch the Grand Final. She gets so nervous about watching the games that she never ever watches! She told me about some crazy dust storms that happened in Sydney. The worst in history. It made news over here.
Sherry finished work at around 1 and so after she got ready we headed down to the Wine Bar. We waited at the first stop and this little mexican girl was just screaming. Luckily they got off the next stop. Anyway we ended up sitting there for ages.
I had about 4 Newcastle Ales while Sherry drunk white wine and champagne. Some lady was on her phone the whoe time her and a guy were sitting up there. I was annoyed at her because she was loud on the phone, I can't imagine how the guy mus have been feeling. Least he had a full bottle and a good view.
Behind us sat a gaggle of girls and one of them was Australian. Sherry called out to her while she was in the corner on the phone and the girl didne was ausatrlaian too. Eventuallshe sat down and had a chat with us. She's from QLD and goes for the Broncos. Her byfriend barracks for Parramata. So its down to mel v bris to paly paramatta in the grand final.
I spoke to her american mates, turns out it was the night before the wedding of one of them. "all of Australia are smokers.. yeah you know that dust storm that made the news? yeah that wasn't dust from the outback, it was all the cigarette ash in the air".
Sherry then struck up a conversation with some lady in marketing. So we ended up talking to them for at least another hour. It went well and truly dark anyway. Talked about the health system - will be compulsory for people in a certain tax bracket to pay for a monthly plan. Should mean that health care becomes more preventative than curative. 'You got it'.
The guy designs the fire safety on United States' Battleships - so talked about nuclear subs, his uncle was on a diesel sub. He said to catch the train to San Diego - you can see the U.S.S Midway - a Nimitz class carrier. i saw a bit of that on the show 'Weapons Race' back home
We then went to Moby Dick's for dinner. Was good value, bottomless bread, bottonmless soda. I had some sort of stuffed chicken thing - with chowder as appetizer. To disect the chicken i had a massive blade straight out of Crocodile Dundee. Was really good served on rice. Good flavour combo. Sherry had a massive burger.
We then walked up the street to Madison's - a sports bar owned by Michael Jordan.Shery had the hiccup's on the way which was funny. Darryl, Stacey, Chris and Lee were already there and were jsut trying to suss out what channel the AFL Grand Final was on. We found it on ESPN Classic and actually got to watch it in a really good spot. We sat down around a table with a big plasma in fornt of us. No sound unfortunately. The barttenders then gave us all a shot of some weird pink fluid. I dont think it was alcaholic. I think it was some elxiher that supposedly loosens up the cash inside your wallet. Anyway, we started rinking beers out of these huge glass goblets. I only had just on three and felt pretty bloated, also i'd been on the beers at the Wine Bar.
There turned otu to be about 10 aussies watching it, ansd even some yanks too. An eldery couple from Adelaide, two yuonger fellas from Ballarat. These two were going for the Saints. Lee was going for the Cats but everyone else was on board the Sainters. Sherry was undecided I think because of all the peole we know who barrack for the Cats.
Anyway we were asked before the game - winner and best on ground.
I said
head - Saints by 22 - Lennie Hayes BOG
heart - Cats by 4 - G.Ablett BOG
Chris said Chapman Best on Ground. Nice work because he was BOG - well he won the Norm Smith. He did a bit but it'll take some convincing for me to think he was the Best on Ground.
But yeah what a game! Biggest difference i think was the Cats by 2 goals late in the second half. Just a close tough game of wet weather footy. The Saints look to be more composed for the most part. Ross Lyon was smiling when they missed 4 set shots in a row. I bet you he wasn't smiling post game when comparing the two team's conversion rates. But yeah i was exicted - plenty of 'GO CATS!!' going on.
It was a long walk home. Sherry hit the sack straight away. Well done Catters - I sent Mum a text after the game.
